Concierge Coaching for MBA & MPP Applications with Kaneisha Grayson

THIS AIN’T YO MAMA’S KINDA COACHING!

Are you tired of running around in circles, dropping a thousand bucks here, two thousand bucks there, desperately searching for the missing piece that will finally show you the way to getting into your dream school?

Are you frantically looking for the best admissions consultant to help you get into your dream school but confused about who to work with since everyone seems to promise the world and have a “95% success rate”? Stop the madness and come sit with me for a moment…

In the years I’ve been a full-time coach, I have helped hundreds of young professionals around the world not only gain admission to the world’s most competitive graduate programs but drastically improve their personal lives as well.

I make the overwhelming, exhausting, and sometimes even soul-crushing application process as fun and enjoyable as possible.

I not only help my clients stand out from the crowd, I make sure that admissions and hiring committees fall in love with them.

How am I able to do this? Because I fall in love with them first! (Platonically of course.)

My specialty is working with non-traditional applicants who have their heart set on going to a top MBA or MPP program. My clients often have numbers out of the target range of their school. They’re too young, too old, their GRE and GMAT scores are too low, or their work experience is off the beaten path. But we prevail despite the odds.

Once my first cohort of clients graduated from the world’s top graduate schools, landing the jobs they always wanted, and crafting the lives they always dreamed of, I took a step back to interview them about their experiences with me. Then, I took the feedback I received and created a premium coaching program that provides applicants with everything they could possibly need to get into their dream school and more.

When I combined everything that my best clients said they wanted out of admissions consulting, I came up with Concierge Coaching.

Rather than helping a lot of people a little bit, I’ve designed a unique offering that will allow me to help a select few in tremendous ways for a lifetime.

Concierge Coaching is up to 12 months of
intensive 1-on-1 admissions consulting and
workshops with Kaneisha.

Note: These aren’t just numbers I pulled out of thin air! Because many of these offerings are only available within Concierge Coaching, I have attempted to provide as accurate a value as possible for each benefit, using my other offerings and those of my colleagues as price benchmarks.

Concierge Coaching includes:

  • Unlimited editing of all essays, resumes, recommendation letters, short answer responses, etc. for up to 10 applications (includes MBA, MPP/MPA, fellowship, and scholarship applications) ($25,000 value)
  • Three 40-minute coaching calls per month until your application deadline, and then we will schedule coaching calls as necessary after your deadlines. During the calls, we will discuss everything pertaining to your graduate school applications and anything in your life that is affecting your application process—such as school and recommender selection, brainstorming essay topics, and navigating work relationships as you apply ($10,800 value)
  • 90-minute mock interview sessions via Skype for every admissions and/or fellowship invitation you receive ($700 value per session)
  • strategy sessions for school visits, admissions events, and networking events to make sure you make a great impression, get the information you need, and maximize your opportunities for in-person interaction with important decision-makers ($2000 value)
  • Complimentary access to my proprietary essay starter worksheets designed to help kickstart your writing process and help you produce a great first draft ($500 value)
  • Waitlist coaching (if necessary): includes strategy session and supplementary information submission packet for every school you get waitlisted for ($1300 value)
  • access to Hacking Harvard Kennedy School, a 6-part video course for applicants to the world’s top policy program ($750 value)

And if all of that wasn’t enough value for you, consider this additional benefit that NO OTHER admissions consultant offers:

  • Lifetime membership to my Elite Inner Circle comprised of my most successful clients. As a part of my Elite Inner Circle, you will receive coaching, advice, and in-person networking with my former clients currently studying at and recent graduates of top MBA and MPP programs around the world. My former clients are happy to talk to and help out my current clients, because they benefitted from the very same thing when they were applying. My clients are current students and alumni of: Harvard Business School, Harvard Kennedy School, Wharton, Stanford, and other top schools.

The clients in my Elite Inner Circle are often so happy with the results they achieved from coaching with me that they enthusiastically help one another pursue their goals. From showing a prospective student around campus for the day to providing the inside scoop on the intricacies of a school’s culture, access to interacting with my former clients is one of the best unexpected benefits of working with me.

  • Lifelong partnership with Kaneisha in taking action toward your personal and professional goals. The real fun begins when you get your admission letter, and all sorts of important decisions will follow. I am available for occasional complimentary coaching calls with my clients for years after we have finished our official coaching engagement. My clients repeatedly tell me that they consider me not just a coach but a friend.

Total Value of Concierge Coaching: Over $50,000
Actual Price of Concierge Coaching: Significantly Less

  • Remember this: If you graduate from a top MBA program, you’ll make your money back on this coaching package + your full tuition and living expenses for your MA education within 5-6 years. HBS Class of 2006 graduates made a median of $79,000 before school and $230,000 in 2010.

Before we talk money and how you can sign up, let’s talk about who I designed this package for and who this package is definitely not for.

Who is this for?

I designed this premium package for the highly serious applicant aggressively pursuing admission and fellowship support to attend a top MBA, MPA, or MPP program. It’s for the young and mid-career professional who wants to work intensively with me to accomplish their career and educational goals over a 9-12 month period.  It’s for the client who is dedicated to doing the hard inner and outer work necessary to make their personal and professional dreams come true.

My favorite clients work hard and dream harder. They’re looking to design exceptional lives built on having the money, network, skills, and education to pursue the things they love, spend time with the people they love, and leave behind a legacy of achievement, generous giving back, and impact.

Hear from KG, one of my Concierge Coaching clients from last season. She was admitted to Harvard Business School and shares her thoughts about what it is like to work with me:

Who is this not for?

  • whiners, complainers, serial doubters, and people who have trouble keeping their eyes on their own paper (people who are always comparing themselves to others). Working with me is about bringing out your absolute best self—not blindly imitating other people or trying to become what you think the admissions committee wants.
  • people who are too busy and overcommitted to make time to complete their individual work and our work together. Brainstorming, writing, and revising truly standout essays requires focus, time, and attention. Preparing for your interviews takes enthusiasm, energy, and practice. If you’re looking to outsource the creative process, this isn’t for you.
  • people who can’t handle straight talk or want to be babied. I’m very warm, bubbly, and fun with my clients, but I also lay down the law when necessary and give clients a (verbal) kick in the butt when needed. If candid feedback and being held accountable  turns you off, I am not the right coach for you.
  • people for whom this investment would present a financial strain for them or their family. My most successful clients engaged in intensive coaching of this nature currently work in positions where they earn at least $60,000 a year, and anticipate earning over $140,000 a year after the completion of their graduate program. This financial reality is often why my clients are willing and able to invest in coaching, because they know that it will quickly pay for itself. For those of you who are unable or not ready to make this level of an investment, I encourage you to take advantage of my free online workshops, training videos, and by subscribing to my free weekly newsletter.

Investment:

Your investment for Concierge Coaching depends on the number of schools and fellowships you want support with:

  • 1 school + 1 fellowship application: $5000
  • 2 schools + 1 fellowship application: $8000  (great option for joint MBA/MPP degree applicants)
  • 3 – 10 school and fellowship applications combined: $15,000 (the most value for your money option—for the seriously committed applicant applying to a variety of MBA, MPP, and/or fellowships)

Note: Each of these options comes with a monthly payment plan.
All payments must be completed by December 20, 2013.

You can upgrade from a smaller Concierge Coaching package to a larger Concierge Coaching package within 90 days of your purchase.

How to Sign Up:

Note: Though there are no guarantees whatsoever, I strive to have a 100% success rate with my Concierge Coaching clients in gaining admission to at least one of their elite schools of choice. For the clients I decide to take on, I give them as much time and energy as I think they need to be successful in their application process. Therefore, I take on a limited number of clients each season. For the 2013-2014 season, I am accepting only 9 clients for Concierge Coaching to ensure that I am able to give my clients the individual time and attention they need for their applications.

Steps to Sign Up for Concierge Coaching:

1. Submit the application. Filling out the application is the first step for moving forward, but it does not obligate you to have a consultation call or purchase any coaching package. This application gives me insight into who you are as a person, what motivates you, and what you would be like to work with as a client. If we determine that you are possibly a good fit for Concierge Coaching, I or a member of my team will contact you to set up your consultation call. Within 3 business days of submitting your application, you will be contacted either way about your application—whether you are moved on to the consultation call round or not.

2. Have your call. Once you are contacted by a member of my team, you will pay for a one-hour consultation call ($349) and choose an hour time slot from my calendar that works for you.

3. Get accepted for Concierge Coaching. After I review your application and we have our call, I will notify you within a week about whether or not you have been accepted for Concierge Coaching. If you are accepted, the money you’ve paid thus far will go toward the purchase of your coaching package. If you are not accepted, I will fully refund your money. Please note that if you decide to back out of coaching after we’ve completed our consultation call, there are no refunds on the consultation call. You can only receive a refund for your money if you are not accepted as a Concierge Coaching client.

4. Reserve your spot: To reserve your spot in Concierge Coaching, you will need to sign the client agreement and make your first payment within 7 days of notification of acceptance. If you do not make your first payment within 7 days of notification of acceptance, you forfeit your spot and need to have another consultation call to be reconsidered for acceptance in the program. This policy is to ensure that spots are not being held for people who are truly not ready to move forward with the process of applying to graduate school.

Take the first step out of confusion, self-doubt, second-guessing, and purposeless spending and a leap toward getting into your dream school, rocking when you’re there, and excelling beyond graduation.

Remember—filling out the application and having a consultation call does not obligate you to purchase a Concierge Coaching package. It’s just the first to deciding if we should work together.
